EGGLESS VANILLA SPONGE CAKE
INGREDIENTS
- Maida-1.5 cups (225 grams)
- Curd-1 cup (250 ml)
- Powdered sugar-3/4 cup (200 grams)
- Baking powder-1 teaspoon
- Baking Soda-1/2 teaspoon
- Cooking oil-1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence-1.5 teaspoon
METHOD
- Add baking powder & baking soda & mix them well.
- Keep it aside for 5 minutes.
- As you start seeing bubbles, add oil, vanilla essence & mix well.
- Slowly add sifted maida to this.
- Place it in the preheated oven & bake for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees celcius.
- After 25-30 minutes, insert a toothpick or a knife in the cake.
- If it comes out clean then take out the tin from the oven.
