SCHEZWAN SAUCE

SCHEZWAN SAUCE

 
 
 
INGREDIENTS
  • Dry whole red chillies - 10-15
  • Ginger (grated) - 1/4 inch
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar - 1/4-1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1-2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/2 cup
 
METHOD
  • Soak whole dry red chillies in slightly warm water for around 1-2 hours.
  • After they are well soaked, grind well soaked whole dry red chillies.
 

 
  •  Next, heat oil in a pan.
  • Add grated ginger to it.
  • As ginger crackles, add red chilli paste to it.
  • Cook it well till it leaves oil. You will be able to see oil at the edges.
  • Now, add salt, vinegar & sugar to it. 
  • Once mixed well add 1/2 a cup water to it.
  • Let it boil well for a few minutes till you get nice & thick sauce.
 
  • Once it gets well cooked, turn off the flame.
  • Schezwan sauce is ready to serve.
  • You can adjust the spices according to your taste.
  • You can keep it refrigerated in an air tight container for around 2-3 weeks.

POTATO SPINACH TIKKI WITH MC DONALD'S STYLE MAYONNAISE DIP
 
POTATO SPINACH TIKKI
 
 
 
 
 
INGREDIENTS
  • Potatoes (boiled and mashed) - 4-5 medium sized
  • Spinach (chopped) - 100-200 grams approx
  • Bread slices - 2
  • Green chillies chopped - 1
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ajwain - a pinch
  • Anardana powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dhania powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil for deep frying
 
 
METHOD
  • Mix the boiled and mashed potatoes with chopped spinach leaves.
  • Add crumpled bread slices to this mixture.
  • Mix them well using your hands.
 
 
 
  • Now add red chilli powder, dhania powder, anardana powder, ajwain, green chillies chopped and salt to taste.
  • Mix them well using your hands.
 
  • Now roll out tikkis out of this potato spinach mixture.
 
  • Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  • Drop tikki one by one into the hot oil.
  • Take them out once they turn golden brown in color.
  • Potato spinach tikki is ready to serve.




MC DONALD'S STYLE MAYONNAISE DIP



INGREDIENTS
  • Eggless Mayonnaise - 3-4 tablespoons
  • Tomato Ketchup - 1-2 tablespoons
*Tomato ketchup without onion garlic is easily available in the market.

METHOD
  • Mix eggless mayonnaise with tomato ketchup.



 

  • Mix them well.
  • Mc Donald's style mayonnaise dip is ready to serve.

PIZZA SAUCE

PIZZA SAUCE


INGREDIENTS
  • Tomatoes chopped-6 medium sized
  • Oil-2 tablespoons
  • Salt-1 teaspoon
  • Oregano-1 teaspoon
  • Sugar-1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomato ketchup-2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon
  • Water
METHOD
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add chopped tomatoes to it.

  • Cook them well till they start leaving oil.

  • As they leave oil, add a little quantity of water to it.
  • Boil it well & then add salt, sugar, black pepper powder & oregano & mix well.
  • As oil starts appearing on the sides & tomatoes start giving a shining look, add tomato ketchup & mix well & turn off the flame.
  • Pizza sauce is ready to be used for the pizza.
